Organization and important dates

The summer school will be held at Ghent University's Engineering Faculty, where PC rooms and classrooms are available. The official language is English. To guarantee the quality of the school, we plan to have a maximum of 50 students.

Registration steps:

  1. Applicants must fill out and submit the application form. Deadline for application is April 7, 2011. Applicants will be notified about admission by April 15, 2011.

  2. Once accepted, participants will be asked to pay the registration fee. The summer school offers several registration fees, reflecting the different desires and budgets of the anticipated participants: 
    • €360 for industry professionals and senior  academics (postdocs, professors), excludes lodging
    • €420 for PhD/MSc students and junior academics, includes lodging in a student dorm 3-9 July
    • €240 for PhD/MSc students and junior academics, excludes lodging

    The registration fees include
    • all course material (including the 792-page book Surreptitious Software: Obfuscation, Watermarking, and Tamperproofing for Software Protection)
    • 5 breakfasts
    • 10 coffee breaks
    • 5 hot lunches
    • 4 regular hot dinners + the banquet
    • guided tour through Ghent
    • beer tasting event
    • bus ticket
    • lodging as indicated

    Participants selecting not to stay in the University's student dorms are responsible for their own hotel reservations. Tailored advice can be obtained from the summer school organizers.
